Problem
Reese's Book Club Gutenberg requirements were editorial: a new monthly pick, events, merch, and community modules that should not wait on a ticket queue. Classic tiny-PHP templates would have slowed a high-volume content team.
Strategy
Gutenberg (and locked block patterns where needed) lets editors compose landing pages from approved blocks. We defined image sizes per block and compressed uploads. The front end stays readable for long reading-list copy on phones.
